The Sprinter F21 - B

Overview
Formally being introduced on December 15th, 2021, The Sprinter F21-B or "The Sprinter" is the first prototype electric bike designed and created by JDKW Innovations.

Drivetrain
The Sprinter is equipped with the Crystalyte 408 Motor which is a 3-Phase BLDC that generates a peppy 44.4Nm of torque and a top speed of 22km/hr .

The bike also features both Direct Drive and Automatic Pedal Assist driving options.
In Direct Drive mode, the bike speed can be varied by the rider's command by means of a twist throttle.
In Automatic Pedal Assist mode, the bike constantly measures the force being applied to the pedals via strain gauges. The motor will automatically apply the appropriate amount of power for a more effort-free biking experience.

Motor Controller

The Crystalyte 408 motor is being driven by the JDKW designed Series A motor controller. The Series A utilizes the powerful HIP4086 driver IC that controls the switching of 6 N-Channel MOSFETs.
The Arduino Uno is the featured microcontroller that is responsible for generating the three PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) signals, these signals along with the Hall effect sensors is what allows the 3-Phase Crystalyte motor to synchronously spin.
Battery
The Sprinter is powered by a strong 48V battery with a total capacity of 19Ah. The battery contains Panasonic 21700A Lithium-ion cells and charges through an ST3 charging port. The battery also comes with a mechanically locking key switch and also an on and off rocker switch.

User Interface

On the handle bars sits a 2.8inch colourful LCD display. The display is the main communication that the rider has with the bike.
Here, the rider can view an abundance of information such as speed, battery level, time, distance travelled, drive mode, and also various notifications.
Safety
JDKW sets their priorities on protecting both the rider, and the other road users around them. As a result, the Sprinter comes with both front and rear LED lamps to notify other road users of your presence as well as protect your safety while traveling. It also features a manual motor shutoff function in the unlikely case of an emergency.
